Cisco Network Engineer

Employment Type: 12-Month Contract (Renewable)

Location: Central Jakarta, Indonesia

Work Arrangement: Work From Office (WFO)

Project: Telecommunications (Telco)

About the Role

We are looking for a Cisco Network Engineer to support a telecommunications project in Central Jakarta. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in network infrastructure operations, particularly Cisco technologies, including Cisco ACI/SDN.

You will be responsible for supporting network operations, troubleshooting incidents, coordinating with technical stakeholders, and ensuring network stability and service continuity

Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day IT network infrastructure operations, including routers, switches, firewalls, DNS, load balancers, and SDN technologies.
  • Monitor network performance, identify potential issues, and perform troubleshooting to maintain network availability and stability.
  • Handle network incidents, including initial triage, root cause investigation, resolution support, and incident closure.
  • Participate in network outage investigations and provide detailed Root Cause Analysis (RCA) reports.
  • Identify recurring network issues and recommend preventive measures to minimize future incidents.
  • Coordinate with network OEMs, telecommunications engineering teams, NOC, and operations teams to resolve technical issues.
  • Work with network monitoring, incident management, and ticketing tools commonly used in Network Operations Centers (NOC).
  • Support network infrastructure involving both on-premises and cloud environments.

    • Requirements

  • Minimum 1–2 years of hands-on experience in Cisco network engineering or IT network infrastructure operations.
  • Mandatory experience with Cisco ACI and/or SDN technologies.
  • Strong understanding of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, DNS, and load balancers.
  • Experience in network monitoring, incident management, troubleshooting, and ticketing tools within a NOC environment.
  • Good understanding of network incident handling, troubleshooting methodologies, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
  • Experience working with network OEMs, telco engineering, and operations teams is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with on-premises and cloud infrastructure environments.
  • Experience with Rakuten Datacom technologies is a strong advantage.
  • Good English communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to coordinate with various stakeholders.
